And because He loves us I am able to stand strong, even through my struggles, and bring you a piece of my heart. \u003cbr\u003e✨✨✨\u003cbr\u003eIntroducing:\u003cbr\u003e“Amena”\u003cbr\u003eMeaning: truthful, trustworthy, faithful, honest \u003cbr\u003e✨✨✨\u003cbr\u003eThis piece started way back in January after Lorraine passed away. It was just a blank canvas that I wrote all the sadness I could fit on it. The sadness of loosing my fur baby way too early. The sadness of all that she will miss and that I missed about her. Then the canvas sat… honestly, cause I didn’t want to deal with my heart and my head. \u003cbr\u003eThat was until a couple weeks ago when I felt God just tell me that it was time. Time to paint what my head and my heart were feeling. \u003cbr\u003eI didn’t know how to be…me. I didn’t know how to be happy and sad at the same time without making people uncomfortable. I didn’t know how these two feelings could coexist at the same time. So I just painted them all. \u003cbr\u003eI was nearly done with this piece when I realized what God had painted through me. He told me, through my own painting, that it didn’t have to be one or the other. That we can be joyful and we can be sad… but what matters is which one we let speak louder to our hearts. \u003cbr\u003eUnderneath all the beauty I was trying to portray to the outside world… I was still hiding sadness and darkness inside. It didn’t make it go away just because I put on pretty clothes and makeup. \u003cbr\u003eI have to stop worrying about if my feelings were making other people uncomfortable… and just focus on being who God needed me to be right at that moment. He would help me heal… I just had to let Him. I’ve been learning that sadness and happiness can exist at the same time… I just can’t let sadness overshadow all the blessings God has placed in my life.
